Amalesh Sanku —
Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, Neurogut Inc.
Mr. Amalesh Sanku brings over three decades of extensive experience in bringing high-technology innovations to market across the United States. As CEO and Co-Founder of Neurogut Inc., he leads the company's product development, strategic direction, and marketing initiatives. Under his leadership, and in collaboration with Dr. Satish Rao, Mr. Sanku has spearheaded the development of several smartphone applications for monitoring gastrointestinal motility disorders, now publicly available on Android and iOS platforms.

Mr. Sanku played a pivotal role in the creation and development of the BioAnatoner System, a groundbreaking biofeedback therapy device designed to treat dyssynergic defecation as well as fecal and urinary incontinence. Working closely with leading gastroenterologists, he has translated cutting-edge clinical needs into effective, patient-friendly technology solutions.

Prior to founding Neurogut, Mr. Sanku served as President of Sagertech Communications, where he successfully partnered with Dr. Rao to commercialize the TAMS/TNT system—a noninvasive neuromodulation therapy for patients suffering from fecal and urinary incontinence associated with neuropathy. Through Sagertech, he facilitated the installation of this pioneering technology at six of the top research centers across the United States.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Sanku held senior leadership roles in strategy and marketing at several top-tier technology companies, including Sprint, AT&T Bell Laboratories, Lucent Technologies, Ciena, E.F. Johnson, and Mpower Communications. His extensive background in the telecommunications and technology sectors has laid foundation for his innovative approach to healthcare technology development.

Mr. Sanku holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, an M.S. in Computer Science from Oklahoma State University, and a B.S. in Electronics and Communications Engineering from India.
Dr.Satish Rao MD, Co-Founder and Advisor Neurogut, Inc
PhD (J. Harold Harrison Distinguished University Chair in Gastroenterology, Augusta University).
Dr. Rao is a Professor of Medicine at Augusta University with +30-year of experience in neuroenterology and mobility. He has the knowledge, experience, and expertise to comprehensively examine patients with constipation and fecal incontinence and has pioneered biofeedback therapy.​

As a neurogastroenterologist, as well as Professor and Distinguished University Chair, his clinical interests are in pathophysiology and the treatment of constipation and dyssynergic defecation and FI. For over 30 years, he has served as PI or co-investigator on current and previous NIH-funded grants and pioneered in the biofeedback therapy field for anorectal disorders. He has also helped to develop the foundations for the proposed research including the devices and techniques for home and office-based biofeedback therapy for dyssynergia constipation and FI, and novel parameters to monitor therapeutic changes including electronic stool apps. Additionally, Dr. Rao has successfully administered several previous NIH projects, worked collaboratively with internists, gastroenterologists, and urogynecologists, supervised post-doctoral fellows, established a successful national referral center for pelvic floor disorders, and produced several peer-reviewed publications including American and European NGM Societies Guidelines on BiofeedbackTherapy.He has also written and published 550 manuscripts in prestigious journals in this field.


Ms. Thu-Ha, President, PDI Works, MS/PhD Mechanical Engineering; Product Development
Thu-Ha has led mechanical engineering teams for several medical electrical and mechanical products over the last three decades. She has extensive experience in product design, manufacturing tooling design, product safety testing qualification, and continuous improvement of released product designs. She holds 12 patents in metallurgy and mechanical engineering processes. In this project she will help in mechanical engineering design and manufacturing prototypes as a consultant.

Dr. Ashok Attaluri (M.D),. MPH
Gastroenterologist | Neurogastroenterology & Motility Specialist
Medical Advisor
Dr. Ashok Attaluri is a board-certified gastroenterologist with specialized expertise in neurogastroenterology and motility disorders. He currently serves as a consultant gastroenterologist at GI Specialists, Olathe Medical Center in Kansas. With over two decades of training and clinical experience, Dr. Attaluri has made significant contributions to the diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal motility disorders, including chronic constipation, fecal incontinence, and small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO).
Dr. Attaluri earned his M.D. from India, followed by a Master of Public Health from the University of Iowa. He completed his internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, where he also served as Chief Resident and completed advanced training in neurogastroenterology and motility research.
Throughout his career, Dr. Attaluri has been recognized with numerous accolades, including the American College of Gastroenterology Presidential Award, Young Investigator Award from the Functional Brain-Gut Group, and Best of DDW (Digestive Disease Week) honors. He has authored over 60 peer-reviewed publications and abstracts in leading gastroenterology journals, with a strong focus on motility testing, small intestinal overgrowth, and biofeedback therapy.
In collaboration with Dr. Satish Rao, Dr. Attaluri has been instrumental in developing innovative diagnostic and therapeutic approaches—including translumbar and transsacral stimulation for anorectal neuropathy, and smartphone-based monitoring tools for motility assessment.
Dr. Attaluri is an active member of the American College of
Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association, American Neurogastroenterology and Motility Society, and the Functional Brain-Gut Research Group.
